Galle Club
Sri Lankan & Coastal Indian Flavours
Galle Club is a homage to the vibrant and periodic charm of Sri Lanka. The restaurant celebrates Sri Lankan and South Indian cuisine, with a strong emphasis on the depth and diversity of regional dishes.
“Sri Lankan cuisine is so often overlooked beside the larger-than-life flavours of Indian food. There are certain similarities, but also bold differences between the two. Indian cuisine is what I was born into; Sri Lankan is the cuisine I chose.” – Shrey Gaurishankar, founder.
Dinner
Dinner at Galle Club is relaxed, refined and rooted in the rhythm of shared meals and conversation. Guests begin with Short Eats, appetisers best paired with a drink, before moving to Curries and Mallungs served in the centre of the table for sharing. “You always order more than you can eat because at Galle Club, you also feast with your eyes and heart”.
DAY
Our day menu is inspired by the tiffin lunches of Sri Lanka and canteen and eating houses of Coastal India. Some of the dishes are created from cherished memories while others come to life thanks to the generosity of Sri Lankan families & cooks who shared their culinary treasures with us.
DRINKS
The cocktail program draws inspiration from the Coastal Indian ingredients. Each drink represents an ingredient that is a staple in every Sri Lankan household. The extensive wine list features crisp & balanced white wines as well as medium & full body reds with up to 10 wines by the glass to select from. The mocktail and zero ABV menu features mocktails that capture the tropical mood of Sri Lanka and also includes the much loved filter coffee of South India.

I had the rice and curry, and it was pretty good. I've been to Sri Lanka before, so I wonder if it's arranged for foreigners? It had a stylish look and a gentle flavor. Very nice view ,food and service Xavier Nabet2025-08-17Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Edited after conversation with the owner: after a hiccup with my first order, the owner reached out to me, explained the situation and offered us a meal to make up for the issue. It blew us away, the quality of the food was incredible! My wife had the eggplant kari with yellow rice and I had the mutton curry with the buriani rice. It was an explosion of flavor in our mouths! Highly recommend the food there! The staff was extremely friendly, engaging in nice conversation and giving some insights into Indonesia. Mocktails and desserts really hit the spot, filling our sweet tooth! Thank you so much for the very generous gesture to make up for what was originally just a small issue. Make sure to drop by this place if you're in central Ubud! Wynda Himura2025-08-13Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
